Won't be what?

Won't be beat? What is wrong with 'beaten'?

What will we have next?
  • Please be seat. (Not seated)
  • I have already ate. (Forget eaten)
  • Let's go off the beat track.
  • He has went. (No, not 'gone')
Suggestions welcome.

Chemical Philosophy?

A relative on my wife's side received her Ph. D. in Chemistry yesterday. Was wondering what philosophy (as in Doctorate in Philosophy - Ph. D.) has to do with Chemistry. Mayhap, pH D would be more apt.

My own Boswell

In a lone corner of Toronto airport, where I had gone to see the glorious sunset, I simply turned around and shot myself, and thankfully, not in the foot.

This is my first shadow photo of myself, most of my other auto-pics have been reflections, like this one off a bathroom tap:

Sunset Boulevard

Sunsets fascinate me. Most of them disappoint by happening behind the clouds. A much-hyped poet imaginatively described the red hue of the sky at sunset as the sky blushing as everybody looks on when she changes clothes from bright to dark:
இது ஒரு பொன் மாலைப் பொழுது
வான மகள் நாணுகிறாள், வேறு உடை பூணுகிறாள்

Sunrises are good too. Too bad for them that I don't wake up that early to catch them. Here is a view of a glorious sunset as viewed from Toronto airport.

Bar, no bar

I will let you read it yourself. That is the name of a bar. A bit brazen, I think. Looks like, in Canada, there is no bar on what names you can give to your establishment. Bar, no bar.

Great Wall of China

An alternative Great Wall of China seen on a shop wall on Bloor Street in Toronto.
